THIS WEEK - GOLF, QUILTER AND MORE

This week we'll do a deep dive into our upcoming Golf Tournament. We'll also hear news from last week's Board meeting and a video update from our Rotary Scholar Cheyenne Quilter who is currently working on a Ph. D. program.

LET'S PLAY GOLF!!

Q: Why are we having a Golf Scramble Fundraiser?

A: Our Club Dues don’t pay for our local service programs and projects. Club Fundraisers do!

Club Dues pay for costs to be a club: RI & District Dues; Weekly Lunch; Club Admin & Training; Membership & Fellowship Budgets.

Club Fundraisers pay for our Service Programs and Projects: Rotary Youth Exchange; RYLA; Everyday Leadership; Dictionary Project; JEM Friends.

Our Golf Scramble is our Spring opportunity to raise funds that make these valued programs possible. If you like being a part of what Boise Metro Rotary offers to our local youth and community, then now is the time to step forward to support our Spring Fundraiser.

Call to action now:

Find Sponsors! Hole Sponsorships start as low as $250 and go up to $2,500 for Title Sponsor. I challenge each member to find a sponsor in their network.

Find your Foursome! Golf Foursome price is $500. We need to sell 30 Foursomes. I challenge each member to get a Foursome to play.

SUPPLIES FOR UNITED WAY & SCHOOLS

Before we started our Hygiene Kit assembly, we were pleased to welcome Shawn Reilly, Director of Community Engagement for United Way of the Treasure Valley. He explained that the most recent ALICE report (remember ALICE?) shows that there are 6000 kids in our valley who need subsidies of some sort. There are now 35 schools participating in the Community Schools Program. The 50 kits we made last week will be distributed through these schools, and their food pantries, by a subsidiary group called Women United. Seems like a drop in the bucket, but every bit helps!
