Our continuing support of JEMfriends, the group that workds with kids aging out of foster car, we'll build year-end "Care Packages" for 16 kids. We are asked to fulfill these "wish lists". You can sign up here. Members will be reimbursed for your purchases, so keep your receipts. Funds for the program come from our golf scramble.

Our annual Pass the Gavel Banquet will be Tuesday, June 11th at the Cottonwood Grill. Pretty soon we will announce the dinner menu. We can announce that our special guest will be an encore presentation by popular story-teller Ben Kemper! You recall last year he told about Salmon, from the fishes point of view. We liked him so much that we've invited him back!! The cost of the dinner will be only $10 per person. We'll have a sign up sheet out very soon. So mark your calendar!!

Congratulations to two of our members who started new jobs this week.......Bryce Clayton is one year old, already........Alan's son Brandon has joined Meridian Rotary.....all in the family.......Dave G. went to Vegas with the girls and came back with 48 cents.......Our Rotary Minute was about entrepreneurship in Nigeria......Catherine Cherhudi has an amazing C.V.......still confused about the orange bag? When in doubt, throw it out. Small pieces of styrofoam go in...and shopping bags.......We have signed for the School's Free Lunch in the Park this summer - for the third year...details to come.....18 golf teams signed up so far......neeed more.......our Youth Exchange Student this year will be Kenneth Kung from Taiwan.
