THIS WEEK - CLUB ASSEMBLY AT WILL'S
WE'LL START HYBRID MEETINGS 9/22
We REALLY want to get back to in person meetings! But we also recognize that some people may not be ready yet. So, starting Sept 22 we'll experiment with a "hybrid" meeting. Here's the deal: while we'll also have Zoom, we'll meet in person in a conference room at Will's office (1111 W. Jefferson St, Suite 540). Plenty of free parking available. For our lunch, Knack Attack is right downstairs.
ROTARY PARK ON THE GREENBELT IS FINISHED!!
The Rotary Park on the Greenbelt is FINISHED!!!!! Many thanks to Cutting Edge Landscaping for stepping up on short notice to get that last batch of bricks down! The only thing left for us to do is plan a "Grand Unveiling". (The interpretive signs are still covered). This has been the "project that never ends", but after 6.5 years, mission accomplished and it looks great!  The total cost ended up at about $85,000......a far cry form the original estimate of $
50,000! Go check it out. Our Rotary Clubs, and the D.A.R., can be proud!
ROTARY PARK UNVEILING OCT 4TH
Our official "unveiling" event will take place on Sunday, October 4th at 3:00PM. Our interpretive signs will be unveiled and the D.A.R. will dedicate their monument. The press and city officials will be invited to attend. Please mark your calendar now and plan on celebrating OUR new park! Bring a book! Do you know anyone who can make a quality video of the festivities?
