THIS WEEK - UNITED WAY
UWTV Logo-FullBlue-RGBOur speaker this week will be Emma Schwarz, Manager of Leadership Giving at United Way of Treasure Valley.
DICTIONARY UPDATE
Last week we teamed up to put the Rotary stickers inside the dictionaries. So, they are ready to be delivered! Roger will let us know if he still needs volunteers to take them to our schools. Our third graders love this!!
LETS CARVE PUMPKINS!
Monday evening (that's tomorrow!) we'll gather at Anne's home from 5-7 to carve pumpkins. The completed masterpieces will be delivered to Interfaith Sanctuary for their decorations. Bring your favorite carving tools and goulish creativity. Snacks and beverages will be provided.Large Glowing Carved Halloween Pumpkin
MATCH THIS!
You know this month is Polio Month. Wow! Both Bret and Roger have stepped up to match our club donations to polio plus. They'll match our giving up to $500! Its only good to the end of the month, so get on it! (I tried to do the math, figuring in the Gates Foundation also matches 3:1. Anyway, its a lot of money for Polio Plus!)
WHO WANTS TO BE PRESIDENT?
Court Gavel Clip Art - EtsyWe still need to elect a club President for the Rotary year beginning July 1, 2027, following Carrie. It is an honor of a lifetime to be President of a Rotary Club! It's not as daunting as you might think, with members always willing to lend a hand with whatever needs to be done. And its a great way to hone your own leadership skills. Talk to Carrie if you're interested in pursuing the idea! It'll be fun!
D5400 IGNITE WANTS YOU!
Rotary District 5400 is pleased to launch Ignite, its inaugural leadership program. Applications are open through November 1. This immersive eight-week experience will help participants inspire others, foster growth, and increase their impact within Rotary and beyond.

The Process:

The program is limited to 25 participants. Clubs may nominate members or encourage them to apply, and each sponsoring club must be prepared to cover the $235 program fee. The program fee covers food, materials, and training.

Clubs are encouraged to think broadly about potential participants: a past leader who would welcome a new opportunity or a member with leadership potential who may not yet see themselves as a leader. Regardless of background, participants will gain practical skills and relationships they can use within Rotary and beyond.
