Meet our newest member, Kris Miller! Kris was born in Pocatello but spent his youth in Mountain Home (Not a military brat!). He's spent the last 20 years in the Real Estate title business, opening his own company, Empire Title, 4 years ago. He now has four offices in the Treasure Valley. He has four kids. His hobbies include all the normal Idaho things - camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, wine tasting, etc. He has two dogs, Charles and Bentley. Welcome to Metro, Kris!
Big thanks to ALL of you making Peace and Planet Pledges. We won BOTH $500 prizes:

Special thanks to our Boise Metro Rotarians who played a role:

Golf Committee has been rocking it. We are down to the fine details. We need some cold, hard cash to get across the finish line. This money will purchase gift certificates for the prizes we will be awarding (best score, longest drive, closest to the pin, etc). Quality prizes will make our First Annual Golf Scramble really shine and bring people back next year. We are looking for Five $100 cash donations and Five $50 cash donations from our members. For those who haven’t found a way to participate, this is a great opportunity to contribute to your Club’s major fundraiser of the year. You can venmo your donation to @Boise-Metro. Put “Scramble Prizes” in the Memo Line so Tyson knows.
RYLA ( Rotary Youth Leadership Award) will be held in Twin Falls again this year, July 27 - 30. Every summer, 60-100 teenagers from around Idaho share a long weekend at the College of Southern Idaho for an intensive four day leadership camp. High school students who are incoming juniors to outgoing seniors are sponsored by Rotary clubs to attend the camp. Applications are due by May 20th. Our club has budgeted for two scholarships. Do you know a high school student that might be interested? http://ryla5400.weebly.com/
Our speaker last week, Craig Quintana, gave us a fun tour of Idaho's state parks. His PPT was very creative, with sound effects!......Charles, thanks for the coffee run!........Yellow Submarine is always fun.......
